FR. DIMITRI
WELCOME
Dear Friends,
Whether you are Catholic or Evangelical, I invite you to join us this October in California. You will be amazed (as I was) at firsthand accounts of how Christians are not only impacting hopeless areas of society, but are also transforming them into beacons of hope. You will hear, for example, of how prayer is changing the spiritual climate of crime-infested areas and crime dramatically decreasing as a result, how corruption is being uprooted and as a result systemic poverty is being challenged, and of businessmen who are giving away 51% of their companies’ profits to serve their communities. Transformation is really happening!
Join us in California, and you’ll see how your own life and world can be changed as well!
The Stained Glass Curtain
by Father Dimitri Sala
In The Stained Glass Curtain, Father Dimitri Sala demonstrates that when it comes to the basic message of salvation and the work of the Holy Spirit, official Catholic teaching and the preaching of Evangelicals do not differ. Combining his own testimony, authoritative Catholic sources, and passages from the Bible, he boldly invites you to learn the truth and embrace the reality of our common heritage. The book will now be available in Spanish starting November 2013 in the U.S., and internationally in January 2014.
Also available in Spanish
GOT QUESTIONS?
Catholics at an Evangelical Conference? Suprised?
God is indeed doing new things today in and through His Church! He’s answering His Son’s prayer that his disciples would know how to put aside their differences and align themselves in unity “so that the world may believe” (Jn. 17:21).
I don’t know of any other group where unity between Catholics and Evangelicals is so clearly directed toward its impact on the world outside the Church! Not only has Ed Silvoso welcomed Catholics into the Harvest Evangelism movement and to this international conference, but more importantly, we have covenanted to work together to see Catholics around the globe activated in their unique and invaluable role as agents of transformation in all areas of society.
Fr. Dimitri Sala, OFM
If I’m a Catholic, why should I come to this Conference?
This Conference teaches about Kingdom-cooperation between Christians of all denominations. You will experience:
- Inspiring teaching that is in line with the Catholic Position regarding the relationship between the Church and the world, with concrete examples and practical points for implementation.
- A “Catholic Orientation Track” by Fr. Sala and team, which will delve more deeply into how and why a Catholic can and should participate in this type of ministry.
I’m an Evangelical, and I’ve been taught that Catholics preach a false gospel of salvation. How can we have unity with them?
- As in other branches of Christianity, there are Catholics who do preach a false gospel of salvation. But the official teaching of the Catholic Church is clear that justification comes by faith, through Christ, because of grace. Get the surprising facts from The Stained Glass Curtain, a book written by Fr. Dimitri Sala and endorsed by Ed Silvoso. Harvest Evangelism partners with Catholics who have heard and responded to what their own Catechism calls the “first and fundamental conversion”.
I do have a heart for Christian unity, but it doesn’t seem to get beyond talk and prayer. Will this conference be any different?
- In John 17:21, Jesus articulated that the purpose of unity among his disciples was that the world may be transformed. We seek unity within that driving purpose, and it’s amazing what a difference it makes!
- Unity in the Body between denominations will come only when we recognize that the wounds of Christian history must be reconciled. It’s so important that it’s always a dynamic presence at the conference.

So the world will know that you sent me …
How often do you hear a story like this: Recently a nominal Buddhist woman visited an evangelical church – this happened to be only her second visit ever to any Christian church. At the church, she heard a Catholic Priest – Fr. Sala – answer all her questions about why Christians are so divided. Because of this she was open to hearing more and when that Catholic priest went on to present the gospel, she heard it for the first time! She responded to the salvation invitation and was followed up by a Protestant pastor whose lifestyle is prayer evangelism! This is the sort of thing that happens when we give ourselves to becoming united.
As an evangelical, I have been so enriched by my relationship with Fr. Sala. He is a man who breaks down walls and defies stereotypes. Not only does he preach the gospel with clarity and authority but he has also done his homework both spiritually and intellectually, to meticulously demonstrate that this gospel is the official teaching of the Catholic Church.
Join us in California. You will receive hope for true unity that has power to transform the world and your understanding of God’s family will be greatly enhanced!
